Neither the Brexitiers nor the Remainers want a soft Brexit that leaves the UK a vassal state yet, unless they join forces to postpone if not call off the UK’s exit from the EU under Article 50, that is where we will end up. In effect, we will have completely surrendered our sovereignty to the EU and be ruled over by foreigners in the Council of Ministers, the Commission, the European Parliament and the European Court of Justice. Is today the day we see that union in the vote on giving Parliament a meaningful say on the terms of Brexit which will give both sets of mutineers the opportunity to stop a Brexit that suits neither of them?
